Sixth Form art students visit the Royal Academy of Arts ‘Oceania’ exhibition

Sixth form art students enjoyed a recent trip to the Royal Academy of Arts ‘Oceania’ exhibition, where they photographed and sketched the exhibits.

The exhibition celebrates work from the vast Pacific region and brings together 200 pieces from public collections worldwide and spans over 500 years.

Pupils were struck by the diversity of art on display which ranged from canoes and masks to figure sculptures of ancestors and deities to personal ornaments.
