Cabries, France U17 – World Cup

185 fencers from 23 nations competed in the Cabries World Cup on 1^st  December 2018. Seeded 52^{nd ,} Teagan fenced in a poule of seven. Teagan won five out of six fights, losing a fight to the number 3 seed (Tortelotti ITA). With a cut to 148 fencers, Teagan was seeded 32^nd after the poules.  With a bye into the 128, Teagan had to fence the 97^th seeded fencer (IMURA JPN) who despite her seeding after poules, proved to be an extremely strong fencer. Teagan fell behind but clawed back from 7/12 to level the fight 14/14. Unfortunately the last hit went to IMURA. Whilst not the result she wanted, it was beautiful to watch her fight for each point and being spurred on by other nations.  Teagan’s final position was 69^th (2^nd best GB result of the day).
