As the gap narrows, find out which KPS House is leading the way this term

Throughout the year at KPS, our four school Houses compete in regular competitions on a variety of cross- department themes, with house points and prizes up for grabs each term!

Our four school houses are: Effra, Fleet, Tyburn & Walbrook- each with their own distinct personalities and strengths.

Each house has its own Student House Captain and Deputy House Captain, as well as a Head of House staff member.

For KPS, the House system allows students to build on a sense of community, identity and belonging within the wider school network, as well as enjoying some healthy competition between them and their peers.

Halloween Competition,
Radio Drama Competition,
Spelling Bee Competition,
General Knowledge Competition,
The Essay Writing Competition and
The Quotation Challenge!

As we approach the end of the autumn term, the points currently stand as follows…

Walbrook in 1st place with 518 points, Fleet 2nd with 435 points, 3rd is Effra with 431 points and Tyburn currently sitting 4th with 376 points.

Our two final challenges this term are: the annual KPS Christmas Jumper competition and the highly anticipated Talent Show!

KPS House Talent Show

Students' video submissions will be judged by our guest judges: Miss Dano, Miss Jardim, Miss Latif, Miss Wallace and Miss Kallan. All videos will be posted on Firefly so that everyone in KPS can witness the talent of our KPS rising stars!

Deadline for talent show video submission: 13th of December

Winners will be announced on the 15th of December!

House Point Awarded to winners: First place (5 points), Second place (4 points, Third place (3 points) and Participation (1 point).

KPS Christmas Jumper Competition

Let's get into the Christmas spirit and show off our best Christmas Jumpers! Students can buy or customise one. There will be prizes for the most original jumper, the most festive jumper, the best customized jumper and the funniest jumper.

Competition date: Friday 11th of December

Winners will be announced at first breaktime (10.15am) in the theatre.

House Point Awarded to winners: 5 House points for winners and 1 House point for participation. There will also be some edible prizes…

There is still plenty of time for our runner up Houses to catch Walbrook up, and the students cannot wait to find out who will be crowned the reining champions at the end of this term!
