Since the start of the new academic year, KPS has demonstrated that we are truly a school rich in cultural capital, with visits taking place to celebrated London venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith, and the Science Museum in South Kensington. Students soaked up the latest offerings in drama, music, and technology.
Our drama students attended a modern adaptation of Our Country’s Good, reworked to highlight the role of the indigenous character, brilliantly portrayed by Australian First Nations actor, Naarah.
Our Year 13 music students attended the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, where the Orchestre de Paris, under renowned conductor, Klaus Mäkelä, delivered an evening of French classics, with outstanding performances of works by Berlioz, Debussy, and Stravinsky. These composers are studied throughout the A level course, so the evening presented a rare opportunity to experience their work at the highest level in London’s most iconic concert hall.
Lastly, our SciArt club students visited the Science Museum, exploring the permanent collection, which covers a wide range of topics from space exploration and climate science to medical innovations and the history of computing.
Thanks to our central London location and our passionate teaching staff, KPS students have no shortage of enriching trips, and we look forward to sharing more throughout the academic year.
