A huge congratulations to Melody who has just accepted an unconditional offer to study Comparative Literature at Stanford University.

Stanford University, located near to Silicon Valley in the US, is one of the world’s leading universities and is noted for its world-renowned alumni. Competition for places is fierce and receiving any kind of offer is hugely applaudable. To receive an unconditional offer is an exceptional achievement.

Huge congratulations to Melody on her outstanding hard work and commitment to her studies.

"KPS has been brilliant at giving me advice for my future, and supporting me both personally and academically. The Head of Sixth Form and teachers are always willing to listen to you and discuss your options, both in tutorials and outside of lessons. The school is very student focused and the small class sizes have been really helpful to me academically. For example, the feedback I have been given on my English essays has been excellent – my teacher even went so far as to make full PowerPoint presentations on them, which has allowed me to make huge progress.

Last year, I was incredibly busy around the time I was submitting my applications to US universities. Both the Head of Sixth Form and the Head of Careers were excellent in helping me manage my time and commitments, allowing me to focus and to excel in my studies.

I have been so impressed by the teaching here – all the teachers are knowledgeable and they really care about the progress of their students. They make sure they always ask each student a question and that everyone is involved in class. Another factor I must point out about the Sixth Form is its location – it is the best! It is right next to the Natural History and the Victoria and Albert museums, which I can visit between classes or after school with friends."
